不同情況下的道歉字彙
● apology 是〝已經犯錯後要向別人陪罪的道歉〞。
‧ My apologies for the errors; we’ll make corrections as soon as possible.
我為 (我們的) 錯誤而道歉；我們將盡可能很快改正。
‧ Please accept my apologies. 請接受我的道歉
● Sorry 是為某事或某人感到抱歉，也是常用來表示道歉 (apology) 的字。
除了是「抱歉」的意思以外，也可以表示「遺憾」、「難過」或「同情」。
也可以在造成別人不便之後，表示歉意。
‧ I am sorry that I have offended you.很抱歉我冒犯了你。
‧ I am sorry to say we decided to hire someone else. 我很遺憾地通知您，我們決定雇用他人。
‧ I feel sorry for you. 我為你的遭遇感到難/我很同情你
(這句話也會被當成反話來用，變成一種"你真可悲"的感覺)
‧ I’m sorry for giving you so much trouble. 對不起，給你添了這麼多麻煩。
● excuse 是 ‘為自己找藉口 (或理由) 、或是原諒、饒恕的意思。
‧ I have no excuse for missing the train; I shouldn’t have stayed up late last night.
我沒有藉口錯過火車；我昨晚不應該熬夜太晚的。
‧ Please excuse the mess on my desk; I will tidy up after I finish this project.
請原諒我書桌上的雜亂；我做完這個計劃後會整理的。
● Excuse me 是在要說或做可能令人不悅的事情之前、 禮貌請問問題前，
怕打擾對方可以先加個Excuse me，比較像中文「不好意思」的感覺
‧ Excuse me, can I get past? 對不起，可以借過嗎？
‧ Excuse me, can I open this window? 不好意思，我可以把這扇窗戶打開嗎？
● pardon 是 ‘文雅語氣的對不起’ (有點高貴或做作、有時帶點諷刺腔調) 。
‧ Oh, I beg your pardon. I took you for my friend. 喔，請你原諒。
我錯認你是我的朋友了。(在正式場合可以使用 “I beg your pardon")
‧ Pardon me for not writing to you sooner. 請原諒我未能及早給你寫信。
‧ Pardon, I don’t agree your point. 很抱歉我不認同這個論點。
(在談話中提出不同想法之前或是沒聽清對方的話，希望他重複一遍時也可以使用pardon。)
‧ Pardon? 請再說一遍好嗎？(是比較old fashioned 說法，年輕一輩多不這麼說了。)
☆ “Pardon me” 含有 ‘犯錯’ 或 ‘有罪’ 的意思、措辭比 “Excuse me” 還強烈。

為了某個原因而道歉的時:
‧ I’m so sorry for(about) 有關於...我很抱歉
‧ I (really) do/must apologize. (for …/about …) 我真的需要對(某件事)道歉
‧ Sorry for../about …關於...很抱歉
‧ I feel bad about …對於...我感到很抱歉
‧ Please accept my apologies for …請接受我對於(某件事情)的道歉
給對方添麻煩的時:
‧ Sorry about the inconvenience. 對不起添麻煩了.
‧ Sorry to be a bother. 不好意思打擾你.
‧ Sorry to disturb you again. 抱歉, 又來打擾你.
‧ I'm sorry to have bothered you. 很抱歉打擾你了
‧ I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. 對不起,真不想打擾你.
‧ I'm very sorry/I'm teribbly sorry/I'm awfuly sorry 這三句都有"( 给你帶来這麼多麻煩)
我感到非常抱歉"的意思
‧ I’m afraid I've brought you a lot of trouble. 我恐怕給你帶來不好麻煩
實用的道歉句子:
‧ Oops! Sorry! 哎呀，真抱歉(oops是做錯事情的時候會講的語助詞)
‧ I'm sorry, it was wrong of me. 對不起，是我不好
‧ I’m sorry. I don’t do it on purpose. 對不起。我不是故意的。
‧ I’m terrible sorry. 非常抱歉。
‧ I will never do it(that) again. 我不會再犯同樣的錯了。
‧ What I did was wrong. 我做錯了。
‧ Please accept my apologies. 請接受我的道歉
‧ I'm sorry I brought it up. /I'm sorry I mentioned it. 抱歉，我不該說這些話
‧ Sorry, you misunderstood what happened today. 對不起，今天的事讓你誤會了
‧ Please forgive me. 請原諒我。
‧ Can you forgive me? Please give me a second chance. 你可以原諒我嗎? 請給我第二次機會。
‧ I (do) beg your pardon. 請原諒我
(可以用在1.用在比較小的事情，比如說"你剛才踩到我的腳!" 2.剛沒聽清楚，麻煩你再說一遍
3.別人對說了很沒禮貌的話，你可以回答"I beg your pardon?"，意思就變成"我沒有聽錯吧?")
‧ May I offer you my profoundest/sincerest apologies. 請問我能不能夠像你表達誠摯的歉意
(服務業專員/主管向客戶道歉時的用語)
‧ I feel badly that I hurt you. 傷害你讓我感到非常糟糕。
‧ How do I make this better? 我要怎麼補償錯誤，讓事情好轉？
‧ Please tell me what I can do to make it up to you. 請告訴我可以怎麼補償過錯？
‧ I can't tell you how sorry I am. 我不知道該如何向你表示歉意
錯誤的道歉語氣:
‧ I’m sorry you feel hurt by what I’ve done. 我很抱歉我做的事讓你有受傷的感覺。
(這語氣表示道歉的人根本不想做補救措施。)
‧ I apologize for what I did, but you also need to apologize to me for what you’ve done.
我很抱歉我做錯了，但是你也應該就你做錯的事跟我道歉。(這是要他人跟自己道歉)
道歉小對話:
A：I do beg your pardon for the mistake I’ve made. 請您一定原諒我所犯的錯誤
B：1.It’s OK. That can happen to the rest of us. 沒關係，誰都會發生這種事情。
2.It’s really not necessary. 你真的不需要這樣道歉、沒關係的
